Homeschooling

Emily's reading is really improving and she is eager to learn every day. Even Alison says "coolwerk pease" Emily is interested in Dolphins, ocean life in general, and human anatomy at the moment. Next month we start on astromony, and march I think is Women's histroy month so I'm working on some ideas for that. At the moment I'm reading From Eve to Dawn, by Marilyn French..Women's history of the world. 4 volumes . It took her 20 years to write it and it is very good. So much I want to across to my girls. Women's history has been largley ignored and I want it to be part of their education on a regular basis, not just women's history month. That's a good place to begin though I think. Anyway, homeschooling in general is going well. We have days that not much gets done but we also have days when we do more then planned so it all evens out. The girls are thriving.
