This is my elementary school being torn down. Odd, I loved the building itself but hated school. I had a lot of fun playing there when school wasn't in session. Behind this is a railroad and a cemetary. If you follow the railroad a mile or so you'd come out right by the pool we belonged to. Walked those tracks many times, explored the woods. I'm probably lucky nothing happened to me. I knew it was dangerous but thats what made it fun. It was a different world then. We all road oue bikes all over town. The rule was I had to be home by dark. So different now. I wouldn't dream of letting my girls run around like I did. It's just not safe any more. Maybe it never was.
